Anthony Orr–Anthony is a Bamberg native and graduate of Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School. He served our country with honor in the Marine Corp and the reserves after graduation. After his years of military service, he worked at Abex Friction products in Orangeburg before becoming a Corrections Officer and obtaining his Class 1 Certification for Law Enforcement.He received his master’s degree in criminal justice from Troy University.After working as a statewide investigator, he left law enforcement to join BPW in 2018 in facilities operations. Anthony became focused on Safety in recent years and holds OSHA10 Week, OSHA 30 Week, General Safety, Lock out & Tag out, and Confined space training certifications.He was appointed in 2023 to the new position of Safety Officer/ WH Facilities by the General manager. He is responsible for our Safety Program and all Compliance to standards and operational procedures our crews work under.
