Wastewater Safety

Bamberg Board of Public Works processes more than ½ million gallons of Wastewater each day at our plant.  Our highly skilled operators are required to pass rigorous knowledge and skill tests to work in this environment.  Safety precautions are paramount in moving between the structures, monitoring and testing as outlined by federal and state regulatory agencies. Exposure to the environment and unexpected interactions with wildlife are also covered in our Safety training protocol.  Eye wash stations, hazardous material suits and Safety supplies are located throughout the plant. We work hard to keep our operators safe and compliant with all codes surrounding this critical environmental process.
