Currently serving as the Office Manager of the Bamberg Board of Public Works, Charnda has over 30 years of management experience of which the last 13 have been with BPW. Her countless years of experience in management equip her with the necessary skills to understand the needs of the customer, city and community while maintaining a fiduciary responsibility to BPW.

Charnda is a native of Denmark, SC, is a parent of two boys, a grandparent of four, and a community leader. Charnda graduated from Denmark Olar High School and Denmark Technical College. She currently serves as the head cheerleading coach at Denmark Olar High School and attends the Greater Sweet Branch Baptist Church where she serves as the secretary of the usher board and assistant financial secretary. She has always been very active in the community and in the church and is passionate about working with the needs of the people.

Her duties include organizing office operations and procedures, preparing payroll, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems, reviewing, and approving supply requisitions, and assigning and monitoring clerical functions. Charnda administers all billing functions and has an extensive knowledge of her position in management that gives her the ability to oversee complex projects from concept to completion.

Besides her many professional affiliations, Charnda enjoys all sports, coaching and mentoring the youth, organizing community involvements and is active in the church. Charnda is very family oriented and passionate about the youth and the elderly and was recently elected by the community to serve on the Denmark City Council.
